Homemade breacrumbs

Here's something easy as we go into the weekend.

Making your own breadcrumbs is very simple.  In fact, by the time you finished reading this, you will be like - what? that's it? so easy?!

So here it is:

Homemade Breadcrumbs
makes about 4 cups

1. Toast 3 pieces of stale bread until crispy and golden..

2.  Let cool for about 30 seconds.  Best to stand it in a toast rack.

3.  Tear it into smaller pieces, put into your blender or food processor and whiz until it turns into fine grains.

4.  Store in an airtight container.  It should last about 10 days for maximum freshness.

Easy peasy yes? :)   Have a good weekend everyone.

  1. Hi Esther, I also much prefer to make my own bread crumbs, healthier! Did you toast in the oven or toaster?
