Food Review: Uncle Yen Fish Head Noodles, Subang Jaya

If you enjoy fish head noodles and are staying around the Subang Jaya vicinity, Uncle Yen would be a good place to check out.  Thanks to my blogger friend Veronica of QuayPoCooks who posted yummy looking photos of her meal at Uncle Yen, I made a mental note to drop by.

The restaurant is situated just diagonally off First Subang Mall.  Parking can be a real challenge especially during weekdays, so go early before the lunch crowd comes.  The place is clean and is airconditioned, with prices just slightly more than your usual hot and sweaty coffee shops.

Their famous items are the Salmon Fish Slice Noodles and Garoupa Fish Slice Noodles.  In addition, they also have some value lunch sets under $10 which come with a drink and a small container of herbal jelly.

Their famous Garoupa slices noodles.  Light and tasty broth, with generous slices of Garoupa.

Salmon Fish Slice Noodles.  Same broth but with Chinese wine.

Fiery sambal chili with a limey tang.  I like to add a dash of soy sauce

Fish ball noodle soup.  3 big fish balls with fish paste fu chuk and romaine lettuce

Blanched Choy Sum with Oyster Sauce

Dry Pork Noodles

Gingko Barley Dessert and Barley with Wintermelon Drink

Location: 29, Jalan 15/4E, Subang Jaya
Tel: 5611.3580
Open Monday - Sunday, lunch and dinner.
