Honeycomb and Calamansi Drink




One of the things my MIL always pack for us in her regular delivery is honeycomb rock sugar.  She says it's a good substitute for normal rock sugar since it is made with honey and cane sugar, hence is more nourishing.

Shrimp and Cashew Nut Salad, Thai Style


We had just returned from a family holiday in Bangkok about a fortnight ago.  Ever since then, I've been on a Thai food cooking frenzy :P  The smell of fish sauce, lime, lemon grass and other related aromatics have been wafting from the kitchen for the past many days.  The neighbours must be wondering if a Thai family has moved in!

My favourite yeast spread is not Marmite or Vegemite but Promite. Both Marmite and Vegemite are saltier and have a more "spikey" taste (for lack of a better word).

Pan Fried Prawns







If you have read my post on Stir Fry Roast Pork with Chives, I mentioned that my mum cooked regularly for the family when we were growing up. Because she also worked full time, time was not a luxury she had in the kitchen. So mum became an expert on wokking up dishes that require minimal ingredients.   One of our all-time favourite dishes is this Pan Fried Prawns.
