Macao Style Pork Chops

In her most recent delivery, my MIL included a packet of pork tenderloin, so I used it to make some pork chops.  I had been craving for some good pork chops and had been thinking about those yummy ones we had during our Macao trip

Pork Adobo

I've always been curious about Filipino cuisine.  Unlike its glamourous Thai and Vietnamese neighbours, Filipino food has yet to be widely appreciated on the global scale.

A overnighter at Westin KL

Part of our Starwood membership is a complimentary one night stay at the Westin KL.  We had pre-booked this months earlier, forgotten all about it and then was reminded of it by a courtesy email the hotel sent - thank goodness!

Avocado Back-to-Back : Avocado Mousse with Gula Melaka

This dessert is really bad for me.  It combines four of my favourite ingredients, so I ended up eating triple double portion.  I go weak at gula melaka, so I kept stealing extra spoonfuls to flood my mousse.  If Gasing Hill was next to my house, I could have sprinted up and down the entire track several times just on a sugar high LOL!

Avocado Back-to-Back: Creamy Avocado Pasta

It's strange, but I think that a perfectly ripened avocado, cut into half to reveal its creamy yellow flesh, is a most beautiful sight to behold.

Ever since I learned to make the ultra appetizing Japanese Salted Salmon, my family has been transformed into a salmon crazed brood.

Japanese Rolled Omelet - Tamagoyaki

Rolled omelet (Tamagoyaki) sushi is one of my son's all time favourite Japanese food.  Tamagoyaki takes on a slightly sweet flavour due to the addition of sugar.

Japanese Salted Salmon - Shiozake

Prior to this, my family have never been big fans of cooked salmon fish (except sashimi) because we've always found the meat to be tough and very fishy.  I have always thought it was such a shame that we do not enjoy something that's so nutritious and premium.

Feasting in Singapore

One of the food-related things I look forward to whenever we travel to our southern neighbour is eating in the food courts.  Yes :)  I love the food-court food in Singapore.

Food Review: Gino's Recipes, Ara Damansara

Gino's Recipes is a cozy little italian eatery tucked away in Ara Damasara.  We live practically 1 min away but have never frequent this place, even though its highly recommended by hubby's cousin who has eaten here several times.  It's really a case of looking high and nigh but not seeing what's right in front of you.

Roast Pork Bones Porridge

You know how you grew up eating certain types of food because your mum always cooked them, and you just assume that everyone else would have also eaten those food before?!

How to see Macau in 5 hours, Amazing Race style

Macao's famous St Paul's ruins

I am sure many of you would have watched the popular program called "Amazing Race" rite?  And you know the basic rule for all contestants in the show rite? ie to travel to all the specified locations (and complete all the tasks) in the fastest time possible using the least amount of money possible.

And that's more or less what we did for Macao.
