This dish is kid friendly and very appetizing.  I would love to add some sweet thai chili sauce to give it a spicy kick but omitted since my son will also be eating this.

Takes no more than 10 min prep time and 5 min cooking time.

Back-to-Basics Part II: Post #1 - Steamed Mince Pork with Salted Fish




Last year I did a series on Back-to-Basics; ie dishes that harked back to our childhood; super simple and easy dishes that can be whipped up in a short time for dinner. 

Responses to this series was very encouraging - I received a lot of comments from readers to post more of such dishes.  So here's Part II, starting with this Minced Pork with Salted Fish.

One of the good thing about making this dish is you can make a big pot of the stock and use it for another popular northern noodle dish - Ipoh Chicken Sar Hor Fun; I can't wait for MFF Perak :))
